Two people, one keyboard, and a door that only opens when both of you reach it.

How this list is put together

The idea is simple enough to explain in one sentence and good enough to carry dozens of levels: one character is water, the other is fire, each pool only lets its own element through, and the exit has two doors. Nobody finishes a level alone — and that is the part that makes the thing work, because it forces the two of you to agree on who stands on the lever first.

The original series is by the studio Oslo Albet, and what circulates on the web today is a mixture of official sequels and imitations. This page is hand-picked: twenty-four that run properly in a browser, the numbered temples first and then the variants, the mazes and the elemental spin-offs that took the same rule somewhere else.

There is no tag for this in the catalogue and there never will be — it is a series, not a genre. Every game here was found by reading titles and put on the list one name at a time.

Questions people ask

Can I play alone?

You can, controlling both with two hands — one on the arrows, one on WASD. But the game was not designed that way: the levels ask for both characters to move at the same time, and that is where it becomes good.

Why can water not touch fire?

Each pool only accepts the character of its own element. That single rule is what turns a simple scene into a puzzle: the route exists, but it is not the same route for both of you.

Do I need to install anything?

No. All of these run in a browser tab, on a computer or a phone, with no account and no download.
