Who we are

Mava Games (mavagames.com) is operated by an independent game studio based in Spain. Contact: hello@mavagames.com.

What we collect

We do not require accounts and there is nothing to sign up for. The site keeps your recently played games, your favourites and the games you have rated in your browser's own local storage, and that list never leaves your device. When you rate a game we send the star value on its own and add it to that game's total; we do not record who rated what. Play counts are stored the same way, as a number per game per day with nothing attached to it.

Our servers keep ordinary web access logs — IP address, browser user agent and the address requested — for security and for counting traffic. They are deleted after 14 days.

Measurement

We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which games people open. It sets cookies in your browser and sends that activity to Google, who process it on our behalf; you can read what they do with it in Google's privacy policy.

We do not currently show a cookie banner, so this happens without asking you first. We would rather say that plainly than claim otherwise. If you do not want it, you can block cookies for this site in your browser settings, browse in a private window, or install Google's opt-out add-on, and the site will work exactly the same.

Advertising

We do not run any advertising of our own on this site. The empty boxes marked «Advertisement» are reserved space and load nothing.

The games themselves are a different matter. They are not hosted here: each one is loaded inside a frame from the servers of the studio or distributor that owns it, mainly GameMonetize. Those partners may show advertising inside the game and set their own cookies, under their own policies and outside our control. If that concerns you, the game frame only loads once you press Play.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union. We have no way to control what advertising the game partners show inside their own frames. If you are a parent or guardian and want something removed, email us and we will act on it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
